Advanced Network Management to Create Up to 40 New High-Tech Jobs in Albuquerque
August 3, 2018
Advanced Network Management announced that it will expand to a new headquarters location in Albuquerque and create up to 40 new high quality technology engineering and management jobs. The company, which is a homegrown IT services firm, also will invest nearly $6 million in the expansion.
“It’s always a pleasure to announce that a company from right here in New Mexico is expanding and increasing its investment in our state,” said Governor Martinez. “By making the decision to stay here long-term, ANM is encouraging growth in New Mexico, creating quality jobs and showing us why it’s critical to continue our commitment to making New Mexico business-friendly.”
ANM, which was founded in Albuquerque in 1994, has become a recognized leader in the technology industry. The company designs, implements, and supports IT systems for large and midsize organizations. ANM has been recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in the state with more than 800 percent revenue growth over the past five years.
“Advanced Network Management is one of those homegrown, Albuquerque companies that isn’t just creating jobs—they are contributing to our community, bringing outside money to our state, and giving our residents a chance to get ahead,” said Mayor Tim Keller. “When we invest in our local companies, in focused sectors that provide quality jobs, we can build an economy that works for us all. We’re grateful for ANM’s commitment to Albuquerque for the long haul.”
During initial talks with the company, ANM was focused on attaining a 5-year lease for ‘short-term’ growth, but through collaborative economic development efforts by the State, City, and company, this plan significantly evolved. ANM has chosen to purchase a new headquarters building, which will help the company establish deeper roots in New Mexico.
The New Mexico Economic Development Department will invest up to $750,000 in Local Economic Development Act (LEDA) funds and the City of Albuquerque will contribute $250,000 of LEDA funds. The LEDA award for ANM recognizes the company’s long-term commitment to New Mexico and incremental job creation. The City will act as the fiscal agent for the award. LEDA is New Mexico's closing fund, a tool that recruits new businesses to the state while helping those that are already here grow and thrive. Governor Martinez fought to grow the closing fund to $56 million, up from nearly zeroed out when she took office.
Albuquerque Economic Development, Inc. (AED) Senior Vice President Debra Inman, who assisted with the project, said, “Advanced Network Management, headquartered in Albuquerque, is a rapidly growing technology firm that provides a variety of IT solutions to some of the world’s best known companies. “ANM is an employer of choice, creating high-paying jobs for New Mexicans, investing in workforce development and participating in community initiatives to strengthen our technology sector. We are excited about ANM’s expansion plans and look forward to the company’s continued success here.
