Seeking Community Members to Serve on Behavioral Health Committees

Committees include Crisis Services; Prevention, Intervention and Harm Reduction; Supportive Housing; and Community Supports

Résumés are being accepted from members of the community who wish to participate on subcommittees that will help decide how to spend funding set aside to create a regional behavioral health care system in the Albuquerque-Bernalillo County metro area. Subcommittees are comprised of consumers, family members, subject matter experts, and technical advisors.

New subcommittee members will continue the work of the current members, which includes prioritizing how behavioral health funding will be spent in four areas: Crisis Services; Prevention, Intervention and Harm Reduction; Supportive Housing; and Community Supports. Individuals who live in the metro and unincorporated areas of Bernalillo County and want to be considered to serve on one of the subcommittees must be free from conflicts of interest, including employment with or active board member of entities that may apply for behavioral health initiative funds.

For consideration, résumé and cover letter must be emailed to [email protected] no later than 5 p.m. Friday, February 2, 2018.  A committee made up of representatives from Bernalillo County, the City of Albuquerque, and University of New Mexico Hospitals will review the résumés and select subcommittee members to fill existing subcommittee member vacancies.
