Today, City Councilor Tammy Fiebelkorn joined Altura Park Neighborhood Association for their annual Pet Fair & Community Social, featuring the Mutt Strutt fundraiser that benefits Positive Links. Positive Links is a 501c3 non-profit dedicated to educating law enforcement, social workers, and others about the critical connection between animal abuse and human violence including domestic violence, child abuse, and elder abuse.

“This is one of my favorite events of the summer,” said Councilor Fiebelkorn. “There is nothing more entertaining than dozens of dogs strutting their stuff down the red carpet! Thanks to Altura Park Neighborhood Association for bringing community together for this event each year and raising funds for multiple nonprofits at the same time.”

The annual pet fair and community social was held at Altura Park in City Council District 7.  Over 40 dogs walked down the catwalk at this year’s Mutt Strutt! A large crowd lined the red carpet to cheer on their favorite pooches. Prizes were given in four categories: Fan Favorite, Best Dressed, Naked Glory, and Master Mutt. The event also included animal centric vendors, educational booths, adoptions teams and rescue groups along with fun raffles, photographs, a doggie ball pit, and baked human and dog treats.
