City Councilor Klarissa Peña Attends Blessing Honoring Kee Thompson
Today, City Councilor Klarissa Peña joined the family of Kee Thompson for a private blessing of the site where Mr. Thompson and Allison Gorman were murdered in 2014.
“It was a privilege to be with Kee Thompson’s family today,” said Councilor Peña. “It’s important that the lives of Kee Thompson and Allison Gorman are remembered and honored. A devastating act occurred at this site and we’re working to ensure this is a positive and healing space in the future.”
City Councilor Klarissa Peña was instrumental in the City of Albuquerque purchasing the site of the murders on Central Ave and 60th Street NW. Councilor Peña continues working to bring improvements to the site that will include a portable building for a non-profit organization and a memorial for Mr. Allison Gorman and Mr. Kee Thompson.
