Proposed Amendments to City of Albuquerque Selection Advisory Committee Rules and Regulations

NOTICE OF PROPOSED RULEMAKING

The Department of Municipal Development (“DMD”) hereby gives notice that DMD will conduct a public hearing on December 9, 2022 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm on the rule described below.

Proposed Amendments:  City of Albuquerque Section Advisory Committee Rules and Regulations

The purpose of this meeting is to obtain public input on the City’s proposed amendments (“Amendments”) to the City of Albuquerque Selection Advisory Committee (“SAC”) Rules and Regulations.  Currently, the SAC Rules and Regulations provide for points to be deducted from SAC Committee member proposal scores for firms based on the amount of existing City work. The Amendments eliminate the requirement for point deductions, except where the Chief Administrative Officer, upon the recommendation of the DMD Director, determines that point deductions for a particular project are in the best interest of the City. In that case, any point deductions to be applied will be included in the Notice of Request for Proposals for a project.  The Amendments also incorporate City Council changes to ROA 1994, Section 14-7-2-7, which raised the threshold for the expedited design services process from $25,000 to $150,000. 

The public hearing allows members of the public an opportunity to submit testimony and arguments on the Amendments.
