NOTICE OF PROPOSED RULEMAKING - Canabis Retail Establishment

*Please Note: This rulemaking was originally scheduled for February 18. That hearing date has been vacated and will now be held on March 4*

The purpose of this meeting is to obtain public input on the City’s proposed Emergency Rules Governing the Establishment of Cannabis Retail Businesses in the City of Albuquerque.  The Emergency Rules implement guidelines for the operation of cannabis retail business in the City.

The Rules:

• Establish safety guidelines and hours of operation for cannabis retail businesses;

• Establish procedures for obtaining Cannabis Retail Location Approvals; and

• Establish requirements for cannabis businesses that have obtained Cannabis Retail Location Approvals.

The public hearing allows members of the public an opportunity to submit testimony and arguments on the Regulation. 

The public hearing will be held via Zoom on Friday, March 4, 2022 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
