ACTION:

Adoption of City of Albuquerque Hearing Office Code of Conduct

From February 6, 2025, through February 20, 2025, the public was notified of the opportunity to receive and review the proposed policy, by notice on the City Clerk’s rulemaking webpage and by posting at City Hall and Plaza del Sol. The public hearing was held on February 20, 2025, at 8:30 am.

BACKGROUND

Pursuant to ROA 1994, § 2-7-8-3(2),The City Clerk shall adopt and promulgate a hearing officer code of conduct.”  The proposed Code of Conduct is a set of guidelines and expectations that outline the behavior and responsibilities of the City’s hearing officer(s). The code of conduct encourages ethical behavior, enhances safety and respect, and promotes legal compliance.

GENERAL SUMMARY OF PUBLIC COMMENT AND RECOMMENDATIONS

A public hearing was conducted on Thursday, February 20, 2025. There was no attendance from the public at the hearing and no public comment was received at or prior to the hearing.

CONCLUSION

The City Clerk’s Office, having posted the proposed rulemaking in accordance with ROA §2-15-1, and having received no public comment, recommends adoption of the proposed rulemaking.
