ACTION:
Adoption of the Rules of the Board of Ethics & Campaign Practices
SUMMARY:
Due to recent changes to the Rules by the City Clerk, the Rules of the Board of Ethics & Campaign Practices have been updated to improve clarity, streamline processes, and align with the Election Code, the Open and Ethical Election Code, and the Code of Ethics in the City Charter.
DATES:
On January 28, 2025, public notice of the rulemaking was posted in the lobby of City Hall and on the City Clerk’s website dedicated to rulemaking, in accordance with §2-15-1, et seq. ROA 1994. On February 12, 2025 at 1:00 PM, a public rulemaking hearing took place on Zoom. The Rules of the Board of Ethics & Campaign Practices for the Election Code, the Open and Ethical Election Code and the Code of Ethics of the City Charter are effective 5 days after the rulemaking hearing and signature of the Chair and City Clerk.
PUBLIC COMMENT:
The Office of the City Clerk did not receive any in person or written comment. The Office of the City Clerk did not have any response to public comment.
