FY 2025 Second Quarter IPRA Backlog Report
The FY25 Q2 Backlog Reduction Plan Report highlights the City Clerk's ongoing efforts to manage the growing volume of public records requests.
The City’s backlog reduction plan has four key elements: staffing, large requester outreach, process improvement, and records digitization. Each of these components plays an important role in reducing the volume of outstanding records requests.
The IPRA Backlog Reduction Plan was launched in response to a rising number of requests older than 30 days, which reached over 1,600 in April 2024.
The City Clerk’s Office will continue to monitor and report on the progress of the reduction plan, ensuring that ongoing improvements meet the evolving needs of the public.
