The New Mexico Women’s Chorus was born in the Fall of 1993 with a group of 6 “Founding Mothers” one of whom still sings with the chorus. There are currently have 50 members in the NMWC musical community. The New Mexico Women's Chorus' mission is to celebrate social justice, gender fluidity and feminist principles through performances that educate, entertain, and inspire audiences. The New Mexico Womens Chorus has been “Changing the world one song at a time” for over 30 years, while also participating in Women’s Marches, Breast Cancer and AIDS memorials, organized fundraising performances for other nonprofits in Albuquerque. This concert season the NMWC has chosen songs that they have sung over the last 30+ years and want to share them with both old and new faces.
