Oscar Winners Head to the Public Library for "Books to the Big Screen"
Get ready for a star-studded affair this February as the Public Library of Albuquerque and Bernalillo County, along with the Friends of the Public Library, present its annual event Books to the Big Screen featuring blockbuster book-to-film adaptations. This cinematic showcase will feature eight riveting film adaptations and Academy Award winners, all presented for free at various Public Library branches.

Picture luminaries such as Charles Laughton, Clark Gable, Greer Garson, Walter Pidgeon, David Niven, Shirley MacLaine, Natalie Wood, Richard Beymer, Rita Moreno, Roy Schneider, Gene Hackman, Meryl Streep, Robert Redford, Tom Hanks, Robin Wright, Sally Field, Russell Crowe, and Jennifer Connelly, bringing these literary masterpieces to life in a way only Hollywood icons can.
