Enjoy Mother's Day in Old Town with Free Entertainment and Dancing at the Gazebo
Mother's Day, Sunday, May 12, in Old Town features free entertainment from some of the area's most notable performers from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Gazebo. The Gazebo will be surrounded by Old Town merchants showcasing their specialties and will feature local entertainment from Nathaniel Krantz at 1 p.m., Baila! Baila! at 2:45 p.m., and Picoso at 3:30 p.m.
In addition to a number of restaurants in Old Town serving their signature dishes, quick bites ranging from BBQ to salads will be available from local food trucks. The City of Albuquerque's Animal Welfare Dept. will be onsite with adoptable pets and adoption fees will be waived as a Mother's Day treat. Kids can enjoy free face painting and a 25-foot climbing wall.
Streets in and around Old Town Plaza will be closed to traffic on Mother's Day. Parking is available at the Albuquerque Museum lot and the surrounding areas. Mother's Day in Old Town is a rain or shine event. Well behaved pets on leashes are welcome.
