Description

A new exhibition featuring large original paintings by seven Indigenous muralists opens at the South Broadway Cultural Center with an artist reception on Thursday, April 3 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Titled Walls of Resilience: Indigenous Wisdom Confronting Planetary Crisis, each participating artist has claimed “Land Back” with their work in public spaces, and were chosen to represent the many Indigenous artists doing murals around New Mexico.

Featured artists include Jerry Brown; Mallery Quetawki; 3 sisters collective; Heck Ironcloud; Saba; Skindian Art; and Deborah Jojola.
