Matunda Cafe
Matunda means "fruit" in Swahili, and this cafe offers a wide variety of snacks and drinks. Find the Matunda Cafe in the Africa exhibit area across from the Out of Africa gift shop. The cafe has an outdoor seating area and serves soft drinks, sandwiches, hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, chips, candy and ice cream.

Tuesdays - Sundays, 10 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.
Cottonwood Cafe
Located at the center of the Zoo, this cafe is the perfect stop for lunch or a snack. The Cottonwood Cafe is open year-round and offers an extensive menu with cafeteria-style service. It is centrally located near the duck pond and bandshell. Enjoy your food inside the cafe under intricate wood carvings of animals. Or eat on the outdoor patio in the shade of an umbrella.

9 a.m. - 5 p.m. daily. Hours extended to 6 p.m. on summer weekends.
Cones
The Cones ice cream shop, located adjacent to the Cottonwood Cafe, is a great stop for a summertime snack! Choose from soft-serve or hand-scooped ice cream in a variety of flavors. Add fun toppings or make it a sundae, if you like. You can also purchase ice-cold drinks in this shop.

Winter: Saturdays and Sundays only, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Summer, beginning in mid-May: Open daily, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
