Scheduling Your Field Trip

Field Trips during the school year are conducted on Tuesday and Friday mornings. Programs include theme-based activities and a tour.  They typically take place from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Beyond this window, your group is welcome to stay and explore the museum independently. Field trip visits must conclude by 1:00 p.m. The museum can provide self-guided tour materials and activity handouts for all groups.

Self-Guided Groups are welcome on other days of the week.  We require a reservation for any school group of 12 or more. Contact Diane Short directly for these: [email protected]

The Balloon Museum requires a ratio of at least one adult to every 10 students. Students are expected to stay with an assigned chaperone throughout their visit.

Lunch Space

The museum offers a large patio and outdoor grounds for lunch. Indoor space is only available as space allows and if there is inclement weather. If you plan to eat at the museum, please bring your lunches. There is no cafeteria or snack bar to purchase food on site.

Please complete the following Field Trip Reservation Request Form and a staff member will respond quickly. If you have any questions, please contact Diane Short: [email protected] | 505-768-6032.

Will your group be having lunch at the Balloon Museum? (We can only provide space; there is no cafeteria.)

What grade level is your group?

Pick first and second choice for dates. We will do our best to get you either choice depending on availability.
