Description

This month’s Third Thursday celebrates “Puertas fronterizas / Border Doors” an exhibition of multimedia doors created by students from Sandia Preparatory School. The doors tell the stories of the people they met along the US/Mexico border and reflect on major themes of immigration.

Learn about the exhibition from Albuquerque Museum History Curator Alicia Romero and Claudio Pérez, a Spanish teacher at Sandia Preparatory School who started the project.

Create artwork inspired by the exhibition facilitated by students from the school.

Enjoy performances by Ballet Folklórico Fiesta Mexicana and Albuquerque High Mariachi Band.
