Cerro Colorado Landfill Fire

The City of Albuquerque Environmental Health Department’s Air Quality Program was notified of fire at the Cerro Colorado Landfill on July 17, 2024. Bernalillo County Fire Rescue and Albuquerque Fire Rescue responded to the scene which is now contained. The Air Quality Program continues to monitor the situation and has not seen elevated smoke levels to require a health alert.
