A Look Back at Halloween Fun Across Albuquerque's Senior and Multigenerational Centers
Five events offered something for everyone, thanks to City partners, staff, volunteers, and community support
Halloween brought more than costumes and candy to Albuquerque's senior and multigenerational centers this year. Across five events, residents enjoyed everything from fall festivities and trick-or-treating to dancing, elaborate costumes, and a Halloween pet parade.
The celebrations began October 23 with the Fall Festival at Manzano Mesa Multigenerational Center, followed by Spooktacular Trunk-or-Treat on October 28 at Santa Barbara Martineztown Multigenerational Center.
October 30 brought three more celebrations: the Halloween Pet Parade at Manzano Mesa, the members-only Ghastly Gala at Barelas Senior Center, and Fright Night at North Domingo Baca Multigenerational Center, which closed out the festivities.
The variety of events meant there was something for different ages and interests, whether it was dressing up, enjoying an afternoon with family, participating in activities, or bringing a costumed pet along for the fun.
The Department of Senior Affairs extends special thanks to the Department of Parks and Recreation for its partnership, along with Albuquerque Fire Rescue, the Albuquerque Police Department, center staff, volunteers, donors, members, and everyone who attended and supported this year's Halloween celebrations.
