APD Highlights Fentanyl Operations
ALBUQUERQUE – The Albuquerque Police Department highlighted 109 arrests made during a two-day operation along east Central Avenue, focused on individuals who were using or selling Fentanyl.
APD’s PRT officers and narcotics detectives made 47 arrests and 32 of those arrests included possession of a controlled substance charges. With focus along the east Central Avenue corridor, the entire operation yielded the following results:
- 147 on site generated calls
- 109 total arrests and warrants cleared
- 47 Felony and misdemeanors arrests
- 62 felony and misdemeanor warrants cleared
- 1 firearm recovered
- 10 traffic citations
Narcotics detectives arrested the following 4 individuals on trafficking charges, including trafficking Fentanyl:
- Jeremiah Bainbridge
- Daniella Mills
- Kyle Patrick McGovern (trafficking Meth)
- Georgia Herron
APD’s Narcotics unit also worked alongside federal agencies in recent weeks and made 2 significant arrests of individuals who were found trafficking large amounts of Fentanyl. In one of these cases, over 20,000 Fentanyl pills were seized. For the integrity of the federal investigation, further details on these cases are pending.
APD’s GANGS team worked a separate operation along Central Avenue and obtained a search warrant for a vehicle that had fled a traffic stop. 6,000 Fentanyl pills were seized during the execution of that warrant.
