APD Arrests Juveniles for Shooting BB Guns at Homeless Victims and City Worker
ALBUQUERQUE – APD detectives arrested four juvenile suspects for targeting individuals experiencing homelessness in downtown Albuquerque by firing BB guns at them. The suspects hit two people with BBs, including a city responder who works for the Albuquerque Community Safety department.
Officers identified the vehicle, a light colored Chevrolet Tahoe, as the vehicle used by the suspects through video obtained by the Real Time Crime Center and license plate readers. Once identified, police were able to locate the vehicle at a home in SW Albuquerque where one of the offenders was believed to reside. Two BB guns were found inside the home and ammo was found inside the Tahoe.
All of the subjects were taken into custody without incident and agreed to speak to police.
