Albuquerque Police Department Officer dies while off duty
APD Chief Harold Medina announced the tragic death of an APD field officer who was found deceased early this morning.

ALBUQUERQUE – APD Chief Harold Medina announced the tragic death of an APD field officer who was found deceased early this morning.
“This is a tragic loss for the Albuquerque Police Department and especially for the family and friends of Officer Bianca Quintana,” Harold Medina said. “The entire APD family extends our most sincere condolences to Officer Quintana’s family.”
The circumstances of Officer Quintana’s death are being investigated by the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.
Officer Quintana joined APD in 2022 and was assigned to the Foothills Area Command.
