Violations - Civil Enforcement |
A violation was found and the case has escalated to civil enforcement actions, which may include penalties, fines, or legal proceedings. |
Violations - Criminal Enforcement |
A violation was found and the case has escalated to criminal charges for non-compliance with regulations or codes. |
Violations - Notice Issued |
A violation was found and a formal Notice of Violation has been issued to the property owner which requires the property owner to bring the property into compliance. |
Violations - Stop Order |
A violation was found and a Stop Order has been issued requiring the work in violation to stop until the matter is resolved. |
In Court |
A violation was found and the case has escalated to criminal charges for non-compliance with regulations or codes. |
Under Appeal |
The property owner has appealed the case and it is undergoing a formal appeal process. |
Brought into Compliance - By City |
The City has resolved the violation, often through corrective actions or contracted work, and the matter is closed. |
Brought into Compliance - By Property Owner |
The property owner has addressed and resolved the violation and the matter is closed. |
Closed - Duplicate Complaint |
The submitted complaint is a duplicate of an existing case and is already under investigation and the matter is closed. |
Closed - Lien Outstanding |
The property has been brought into compliance and the violation no longer exists. |
Closed - No Violation Found/Not Enforceable |
No violation was found, or the issue is outside the City's regulatory authority, and the matter is closed. |
Closed - Wrong Case Type |
The complaint was filed under the wrong case type; the correct case type has been created and is under review. For more information on the correct case type, please call 311 with your reference number. |
Closed - Wrong Department |
The complaint was filed with the wrong department and has been referred to the appropriate department for resolution. For more information on the correct case type, please call 311 with your reference number. |
