The City of Albuquerque’s Annual Cyber Security Awareness Training ensures that every employee who uses City information technology assets is regularly informed of expectations concerning the safe and secure use of those assets.

About Annual Cyber Security Awareness Training

The City of Albuquerque is constantly under attack by cyber criminals. These attacks have become more advanced and targeted over time. Cyber Security Awareness is a team effort. It’s every employee’s responsibility to be vigilant. Employees must take precautions to protect themselves and the city’s information systems from attacks.

Why is this training important?

It only takes one time. Data breaches do not typically happen when a cybercriminal has hacked into an organization’s infrastructure. Be wary of unusual sources, do not click on unknown links, and delete suspicious messages immediately.

Who is required to attend?

All CABQ employees with Active Directory Accounts (cabq.gov email addresses) are required to complete this training, in New Employee Orientation and online each year.

When must the training be completed?

The training will be accessed online through the City of Albuquerque Enterprise Learning Management (ELM) portal and must be completed within 60 Days of the new fiscal year.

How do I access the training?

1. Employees will log into Knowledge City https://cabq.knowledgecity.com/
2. Select Log In and enter your User Name and Password
3. If you require assistance logging in, contact the Employee Learning Center at 768.3200 or [email protected]
4. Click on the “Library” drop down
5. Click on “Mandatory Courses”
6. Scroll down to locate “CABQ Cyber Security”
7. Click on the course to launch the training
8. After you have watched all the videos, click on “Certification Test”.
9. Take the Quiz: You must pass the quiz with 80%
