Community Center Membership/Pass Requirements To use or rent a City of Albuquerque community center, you need an updated Adult Pass. Passes are free and must be created or updated prior to submitting the Facility Usage/Rental Interest Form. Please create your account and update your pass before you fill out the interest form.

How to Make a Reservation
- Log In: Log onto your PLAY.CABQ.GOV account. If you do not have an account, you must create one before requesting space. You will need the number listed next to your last name and a current Community Center Adult Pass.
- Online Requests: Use the Facility Usage/Rental Interest Form.
- Confirmation: Approval varies by site and may take up to 14 business days. A Facility Manager will follow up with you if there is a scheduling conflict. Once confirmed, the Rental Coordinator will send you a contract or invoice. Follow the instructions on the contract/invoice to complete your reservation. Payment is due at least 14 days prior to the event.
Requests for single-day or special event reservations can be submitted up to six months in advance. All forms must be submitted at least 14 business days before the event start date. Submitting a form does not guarantee your reservation.
Reservation Process
- Requests are reviewed in the order received, and availability is subject to change until the contract is finalized.
- Full payment is due 14 business days prior to the event and must be made online via your PLAY.CABQ.GOV account.
- Facility usage and rentals are only permitted during normal community center business hours. Hours, locations, and availability depend on location.
Payment Instructions
- Log into your PLAY.CABQ.GOV account. View your shopping cart and click "pay old balances" to find your updated balance. Add the balance to your cart and proceed to checkout.
- Payments must be made online via credit or debit card. If the balance is unpaid by the due date, your reservation may be released.
Waiver Completion To complete a waiver:
- Log into your PLAY.CABQ.GOV account.
- Click “Facility Rentals” > “Community Centers” > “Step 2 Waiver.”
- Add the waiver to your cart and proceed to checkout. The waiver is free, but completing it confirms your reservation.
Room Tours
- You may visit any facility during operating hours to view the space.
- To schedule a personalized tour, contact the Facility Supervisor.
Room Rental Costs Room rental fees are based on the activity’s purpose and scale:
- Category 1: Free for public-interest meetings/events open to the public.
- Category 2: $7.50/room/hour for private meetings/events closed to the public.
- Category 3: $10.00/room/hour or $15.00/gym/hour for fee-based public classes/activities ($25 non-refundable cleaning fee per semester).
- Category 4: $40–60/hour for private large-scale events (based on attendance).
The Rental Coordinator makes the final determination on which category an activity, meeting, or event is classified.

Decorations
- Decorating time must be included in rental hours.
- Only use removable poster putty or blue painter’s tape for walls and tables. Do not use nails, staples, or tacks.
- Prohibited items include glitter, rice, confetti, red-dye (fruit punch) and open flames.
- Decorations must be removed immediately after the reservation period.

Liability Insurance Commercial General Liability insurance of $1,000,000 is required for activities involving fitness or physical contact. Private events do not require liability insurance. Certificates should list the City of Albuquerque as additionally insured and can be emailed to [email protected].
Background Checks Facility users working with children or vulnerable groups must complete a background check through TruView. Documents will be emailed upon request. Background checks are not required for private events.
Amenities
- CABQ Center Rentals include tables, chairs, accessible parking, restrooms, and Wi-Fi.
- Clients must bring their own supplies, AV equipment, decorations, or any other items they need.

City of Albuquerque Community Centers are closed on the following holidays, and the observed Saturday:

- Presidents' Day
- Easter Weekend
- Memorial Day
- Juneteenth
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Indigenous Peoples' Day
- Veterans' Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Day After Thanksgiving
- Christmas Day
- New Year's Day
Maintenance and Closure: CABQ Community Centers will be closed for cleaning, training, and maintenance from May 31, 2025 to June 8, 2025. They will reopen on Monday, June 9, 2025, for the summer season.

- Submitting the form does not guarantee your reservation. Approval varies by site and may take up to 14 business days.
- Reservations are finalized only after all fees, documents, and waivers are completed.
- All City of Albuquerque community centers are alcohol-, drug-, and smoke-free environments.

Availability Restrictions
- Limited availability Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. due to CABQ After School Youth Programs.
- During June and July, rentals are unavailable from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. due to CABQ Summer Youth Programming.
- Private team practice reservations are not offered at this time.
