Albuquerque Downtown Arts & Cultural District: Public Art Map
Downtown Albuquerque is home to our city's greatest concentration of public artworks. These works, ranging from traditional bronzes immortalizing important figures in the city's history to nonobjective murals that add beauty, interest, and excitement to our bustling corridors, speak to the history and character of Albuquerque from its Pre-Columbian past to the present.
The works represented on this map are part of the City of Albuquerque Public Art Collection and fall within the bounds of the Downtown Albuquerque Arts & Cultural District. In addition to these outdoor pieces there are a number of 2D artworks in public buildings including City Hall, the Main Library, and the Albuquerque Convention Center.

Convention Center Mosaic Booklet
This downloadable booklet offers in depth descriptions on the mosaic sections along the exterior of Albuquerque's Convention Center. It also lists those involved in the project and describes the process used to create this stunning piece of public art.
Public Art Bicycle Tours
Get on your bicycle and enjoy these public art tours!
Created by Don and Pamela Michaelis, this tour is the result of their love of art and passion for cycling. Although a few of the pieces are not part of the City of Albuquerque Public Art Collection, (# 3, 5, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 26), it is still a great bicycle-friendly tour of art in the public realm. Enjoy!

We have recently added two new bicycle tours, download one or both brochures below.
Both tours start at the Albuquerque Convention Center. The Family Fun Route is approximately 3 miles (one way) and our Urban Adventure Tour is roughly 12 mile loop.

Tramway Tour
The Tramway Tour is a 16 mile ride, with the magnificent Sandia Mountains as a back drop. Along the way we’ll encounter local geology, wildlife, native plants, Spanish colonial history, public art, the civic spirit of our fine city, and last but not least our New Mexico State Insect.
