Aquatics Aide & Pool Supervisors An Aquatics Aide does a grip of fun stuff for the City swimming pools. If you want to teach lessons, respond to emergencies, and interact with swimmers, the Aquatics Aide job is right for you! You don’t even need to know how to swim - you just have to enjoy the water and have an outgoing attitude! If you don’t want to teach lessons, that’s cool too - we need plenty of cashiers. Lifeguard & Headguards Lifeguards are highly trained first responders who are prepared to respond to any type of emergency in and around a pool. Not only to respond to emergencies but more importantly prevent injuries from occurring by enforcing facility rules. We also get to teach children of all ages how to swim! Casa Esperanza Assistant Bicycle Mechanic Make a lasting impact with bicycle riders by helping people learn to repair their bicycles. Mechanical training is provided, and no experience is necessary. Keep Albuquerque Beautiful Summer Youth Program Get a head start on your career and learn valuable lessons while working closely with Solid Waste’s Clean City Division. Youth workers will partner with crews on graffiti cleanup, litter cleanup, weed and median maintenance and assist in the department’s wildflower project. Albuquerque Police Department Police Service Aide Provide police service that otherwise would be lost or delayed because of workload saturation on sworn officers, relieve sworn officer of non-related or low priority police service so that they may pursue anti-crime activities more effectively. Collect and preserve physical evidence in the field; ensure the preservation of all items taken into evidence and testify in court regarding the chain of custody and integrity of evidence. This year’s Job and Volunteer Fair will feature the return of the Parent Lounge! Parents are welcome to come and grab a cup of coffee and discover resources on how to support their job seekers. This is a great place to gather while participants explore the fair on their own. There will be mini-presentations, representatives from partner organizations, as well as City of ABQ hiring managers on hand to answer questions.
