July 15, 2013
This week's ABQ BioPark concerts feature a local talent and a gifted band from New Mexico's northern neighbor. To return to the roots of Americana music, join us on July 18 for Finnders & Youngberg at Summer Nights. Then, Ryan McGarvey rocks a special hometown appearance at Zoo Music on July 19.
Finnders & Youngberg of Fort Collins, Colorado come to Albuquerque this Thursday with their timeless Americana tunes mixed into a 21st century style. (Wild Beats subscribers can sample their style with this week's free song download.) Before joining forces, each member of the band developed a unique style and had individual success. Together, Finnders & Youngberg draws on a variety of influences and talent. The band has been showcased at IBMA and Folk Alliance conferences, and never lose sight of the roots that inspire them in their unique blending of the old and the new.
